Twitter lists and why you should be using them

Twitter lists should be an essential part of your approach to Twitter. As the number of people you follow increases, it gets more and more difficult to manage your feed and to especially keep up with people that really matter to you. You may also want to segment the people you follow into different groups. Therefore, I would strongly recommend the use of lists to help you do this. I’ve put together a video which explains why you should be using Twitter lists and how you go about creating and managing them via Twitter and Hootsuite.

One thing which I mentioned in the video and which I havent actually covered in great detail is finding lists that already exist. You can do this by visiting someone’s Twitter profile on the web or a good place to do this is Listorious as it has a search engine for finding people and lists on Twitter.
